SEWING 201 FOR WOMEN
SEWING 201: NEXT STEPS IN SEWING
A CLASS FOR WOMEN
Join Grace McFetters for the Next Steps in Sewing! This class is meant to continue to bolster your skills in sewing with a sewing machine after taking your first foundational class in learning to sew. Grace will take students through projects meant to deepen understanding of how a sewing machine works while continuing to grow confidence in sewing skills. Students will be making a pillow cover with a zipper enclosure and a tote bag with lining and pockets.
Prerequisite for this class is Sewing 101 with The Joel Fund. If you have not taken this class but know how to thread your machine properly, cut fabric after squaring it up using a ruler and rotary cutter, and how to choose fabric, you may join the class. If you haven’t taken the prerequisite class, The Joel Fund and the instructor may ask you a series of questions prior to being allowed in the class to make sure your skills are at the appropriate level.
