Learn to sew a scarf with The Joel Fund in this one-day mini-session! This session is for those who are familiar with the basics of a sewing machine (how to thread it, and getting started with sewing). Together, we’ll make a scarf, in which we will also learn the basics of cutting fabric with a rotary cutter, ruler, and cutting mat.
The Joel Fund will provide necessary fabric for this class project. The fabric colors will be determined by your color preference answers in your registration form. If you wish to provide your own fabric, fabric must be quilting cotton (be sure to ask the fabric store associate which fabrics are quilting cottons). You will need THREE (3) coordinating fabrics, all cut to ⅓ of a yard which is 12”, width of fabric.
Sewing machines are provided if needed. Personal sewing machines are welcome!
Please note, this class is for Women Only.
We offer scholarships for those who cannot afford the registration fee. Email the Operation ART Program Manager at isabella@thejoelfund.org to receive the scholarship promo code with your name and email address.
