All past and current TJF’s Operation ART Program students are invited to submit an original design to be featured on a challenge coin.

Steps to submit…
» Print out the design form -OR- design in a design software. Such as Adobe, Affinity, Canva, etc.
NO AI GENERATED DESIGNS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
» Upload the finished design to the submission form (can be a picture or scan of the design
» Vector formats are preferred but any format will be accepted.
Timeline and winner…
» Submissions will be accepted from September 9th, 2024 through October 16th, 2024
» The artist of the chosen design will be notified by the end of October via email or phone
» The winner will receive recognition and a piece of TJF merchandise of their choosing and sizing
Submission details…
» Have taken at least one (1) Op ART Class
» Limited to one (1) submission per artist
» Must include a minimum of two (2) patriotic symbols such as:
» American Flag
» Dog tags
» Eagles
» Stars and stripes
» Combat boots
» American Flag
» Camo
» Please try to keep designs inclusive of all military branches
» Designs including political themes or religious symbols will not be considered
» Designs created with AI will not be considered.
» The winner will work with Kidder Corps representatives to finish the design
Design advice…
» It is best to think of the coin as a sculpture verses a painting
» The paints used in coin production are enamels that need to bake in order to harden. Wherever there are paints there are metal walls to hold them in place while they bake. See the image below of a coin before/after paints are applied for reference
» The need for metal walls creates a limit on how small painted details can be. It also means that one color cannot go directly over another color or transition from one shade to another.
» The artists designs should have outlines around each individual color representing the metal walls.
