SEWING 101 FOR WOMEN

SEWING 101 FOR WOMEN

Join Grace McFetters Caldwell and The Joel Fund for the best sewing class. Hint: this is not your Grandma’s Sewing Class!

This is for the fun sewists out there and the wanna-be sewists. We will be learning all about how to sew, even if you have never turned on a sewing machine. Trust us, it’s not hard! And if you already have some sewing skills, Grace has you covered, too. This all around class will be learning both hand and machine sewing skills, and will be making fun projects like the carry-all tote bag, the best pin cushion you have ever owned, plus practical and gift-worthy projects like a zippered pouch and the machine/hand combo-cowl (infinity scarf)! We will be dropping feed dogs and getting a little crazy, but also learning to follow patterns while better understanding pattern directions.

If you have always wanted to learn to sew but wanted to learn practical, technical, and creative sewing techniques, this is SEW for you!

Please note: We will have some machines available to borrow for students who do not already own one, but if you do have your own, it would be great for you to bring it in! Please be sure to have it recently serviced and in working order.
