VIRTUAL MEMOIR WRITING

VIRTUAL MEMOIR WRITING

Every life is filled with memorable, compelling experiences! This class (for writers at all levels), will explore techniques for capturing life stories as we take a deep dive into the fundamentals of memoir writing. We will examine a variety of narrative writing techniques that build action, character and conflict, sharpen dialogue, and propel plot forward to help you discover your truth and find the urgency behind your own story. Offering a safe, supportive online group environment, the class welcomes veterans, current active duty, and reserve members of the armed forces as well as veteran caregivers and immediate adult military family members.

Class reading: Writing the Memoir: From Truth to Art (2nd Edition) by Judith Barrington. Second-hand copies are readily available online or at used bookstores!
